5. Dampak Globalisasi

Dampak positif ketiga adalah penciptaan nilai dan peningkatan efisiensi melalui pembagian global di atas dan saling mendukung untuk melayani kebutuhan dan pertumbuhan lokal. Keempat adalah promosi pemahaman internasional, kolaborasi, harmoni dan penerimaan keragaman budaya di seluruh negara dan wilayah. Potensi dampak negatif globalisasi secara pendidikan berkaitan dengan berbagai jenis penjajahan politik, ekonomi, dan budaya dan pengaruh yang luar biasa dari negara maju ke negara berkembang dan kesenjangan yang meningkat pesat antara daerah kaya dan daerah miskin di berbagai belahan dunia. Dampak pertama adalah meningkatnya kesenjangan teknologi dan kesenjangan digital antara negara maju dan negara kurang berkembang yang menghambat kesempatan yang sama untuk berbagi global yang adil. Pengelolaan dan pengendalian dampak globalisasi terkait dengan beberapa masalah makro dan internasional yang rumit yang mungkin jauh di luar cakupan yang tidak saya sertakan dalam makalah ini. 6. Globalisasi Pendidikan dan Berbagai Teori
Pemikiran penulisan makalah ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa teori yang dikemukakan oleh Yin Cheng, (2002). Dia mengusulkan tipologi beberapa teori yang dapat digunakan untuk mengkonseptualisasikan dan mempraktekkan pengembangan pengetahuan lokal dalam globalisasi khususnya melalui pendidikan yang terglobalisasi. Teori-teori pembinaan kearifan lokal ini diajukan untuk menjawab persoalan utama ini, yaitu teori pohon, teori kristal, teori sangkar burung, teori DNA, teori jamur, dan teori amuba. Implikasinya terhadap desain kurikulum dan pengajaran dan hasil pendidikan yang diharapkan dalam pendidikan global juga berbeda.

Teori pohon mengasumsikan bahwa proses pembinaan pengetahuan lokal harus berakar pada nilai-nilai dan tradisi lokal tetapi menyerap sumber daya eksternal yang berguna dan relevan dari sistem pengetahuan global untuk menumbuhkan seluruh sistem pengetahuan lokal ke dalam dan ke luar. Hasil yang diharapkan dalam pendidikan global adalah untuk mengembangkan orang lokal dengan pandangan internasional, yang akan bertindak secara lokal dan berkembang secara global. Kekuatan teori ini adalah bahwa masyarakat lokal dapat mempertahankan dan bahkan mengembangkan lebih jauh nilai-nilai tradisional dan identitas budayanya saat tumbuh dan berinteraksi dengan masukan sumber daya dan energi eksternal dalam mengumpulkan pengetahuan lokal untuk pembangunan lokal.

Teori kristal adalah kunci dari proses pembinaan untuk memiliki “benih lokal” untuk mengkristal dan mengakumulasi pengetahuan global sepanjang harapan dan permintaan lokal yang diberikan. Dalam pendidikan yang terglobalisasi, perlu untuk menetapkan kerangka kerja dengan batasan ideologis dan norma sosial yang jelas untuk desain kurikulum sehingga semua kegiatan pendidikan dapat memiliki fokus lokal yang jelas ketika mendapat manfaat dari paparan pengetahuan dan masukan global yang luas. Teori ini menekankan pada identifikasi dan transplantasi elemen kunci yang lebih baik dari pengetahuan global untuk menggantikan komponen lokal yang lebih lemah yang ada dalam pembangunan lokal. Dalam globalisasi pendidikan, desain kurikulum harus sangat selektif terhadap pengetahuan lokal dan global dengan tujuan untuk memilih elemen terbaik dari mereka. Dari teori ini, kurikulum dan pengajaran harus bertujuan untuk memungkinkan siswa mengidentifikasi dan mempelajari pengetahuan global apa yang berharga dan diperlukan untuk perkembangan mereka sendiri serta penting bagi komunitas lokal. Dalam globalisasi pendidikan, desain kegiatan pendidikan harus bertujuan untuk mencerna pengetahuan global yang kompleks ke dalam bentuk yang tepat yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan individu dan pertumbuhan mereka.
